PAROS VILLAGES

 

Paros also has lovely villages, there is a good road network and it is easy to go around.

 

Parikia

Parikia is the first settlement that every visitor encounters as soon as he gets off the ship, since it is  a major trade and  commercial port of the island. Capital town and port of the island, with the greatest tourist traffic in summer.

Naousa

Located on the north side of Paros and enclosed by a small yet safe port, Naousa lies in a fantastic geographical position along with its surrounding harbor, and because of that, it has been inhabited and urbanized since ancient times, just like its sibling town, Parikia.

Piso Livadi

A kilometer far from Marpissa and 19kms from Parikia there is the picturesque port of Piso Livadi, which offers high degree touristy services built amphitheatrically around the pretty and picturesque little port with view to the Aegean sea.

Logaras

Logaras beach is located in the south of Paros Greece, 20 km away from the island's capital, Parikia. The area of Logaras is situated just a few km from the harbor of Piso Livadi. The area of Logaras in Paros Island has a beautiful long sandy beach.

Aliki

Tourist center, 12kms far from the capital, with a large and clean sandy beach. Ageria is 2 km from Aliki where are the ruins of ancient town in the bottom of the sea. It collects many people not for  clear  beaches with calm waters but for its hospitable in habitants the tavern with traditional kitchen.

Marpissa

A picturesque village built on a hill 18kms far from Parikia. The hill of Kefalos, on the top of which are the ruins of a castle built in 1500 and the monastery of Agios Antonios (16th century) where there are ruins of the Venetian Castle 10th century.

Lefkes

Built amphitheatrically on hills, Lefkes, may be the most beautiful traditional village of the island. It/s 11kms far from Parikia. Little houses on the green hills, beautiful old churches (of 15th and 17th century), ruined windmills and pidgeon - lofts. The church of Saint Triadas is of white marble with rare Byzantine pictures and it is very beautiful.

Drios

A sea side district in the green, water springs, sandy bays, 25kms far from Parikia. Most famous in the beach Chryssi Akti (Golden Beach) 1km long, where every year takes place the world championship of surfing. The friendly bay of Drios with its small port is very loved from many people for its beauties.

Ambelas

Ambelas is a small fisherman/s village by the sea a few kms outside Naoussa. The inhabitants are hospitable and they are fishermen. There are beautiful traditional taverns where you can taste fresh fishes and the island/s traditional plates.
